The PBL has been announced!
"How can we create a fun and engaging learning game that lights up for children who are missing out?"
Students are working in groups to design and build game boards to donate to a local children's hospital. The games will review 5th grade science curriculum and what makes them even better, is that students are incorporating working circuits into their games, so the boards light up! Students have been working really well within their groups, and they are coming up with some really exciting ideas.
The project will count for 2 classwork grades, and we will be working on them up to the end of the school year. I have been very clear that nothing needs to be purchased for the games, as I will provide materials, BUT, if students would like to bring in materials to make their games, they are welcome to. Please consider recyclable materials before purchasing anything. Also, keep in mind that nothing will be returned, as these games are being donated.
